CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
While Israel has enjoyed a continuous commercial presence in Sub-Sahara Africa since 1957, the Israel-Africa Chamber of Commerce was established in June 1996 to advance commercial and economic relations between Israel and Sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa). We are a dynamic player in fostering, promoting and enhancing trade relations between Israel and Sub-Saharan African countries. We not only provide our member companies with valuable resources for growing their business, but we also serve as an active interface during the various stages of Israeli-African cooperative efforts. We promote bilateral trade relations, assist the business communities in Israel and Africa in locating trade partners and business opportunities, and provide business information, initial market data and relevant economic indicators.
Such assistance is of paramount value and importance considering that 23 African countries are classified by the World Economic Forum as possessing business potential in light of the status of their infrastructure, governmental stability, banking situation, etc. These include Mauritius, South Africa, Namibia, Ghana, Lesotho, Ivory Coast, Kenya and others.
Encompassing an impressive share of Israel’s commercial, industrial and construction business community, the Israel-Africa Chamber of Commerce, whose member companies are active in some 40 African countries today
